The Board of Directors is comprised of members representing all programs at Sammamish Rowing Association. The SRA Board defines the strategy, sets direction, and establishes policies implemented by the Executive Director and staff.
The Board meets on the third Wednesday of every month (except August and December) at 7pm at the boathouse or via Zoom. All SRA members are welcome and encouraged to attend!

The SRA Board of Directors invites all community members to attend our monthly board meetings. This is an opportunity to learn what is going on within the organization, ask questions, and get more involved with all things SRA. Board meetings are held at 7:00pm at our boathouse and/or virtually on Zoom.

Board Committees
Board Committees focus on specific areas that support the Board in defining strategy, setting direction, and establishing policies. Below are the chairs for each committee along with the committee description.
- Development
Work with Executive Director to plan strategy for long-term development and annual fundraising campaigns, with execution managed by staff and board/member volunteers
- Equipment
Plan and budget for equipment (shells, oars, etc) based on the needs of the SRA community and agreement with manufacturers
- Finance
Plan and manage SRA’s accounting and prepare reports to educate/update the board and broader SRA community on the organization’s financial standings - Governance
Manage governance policies and education for SRA’s Board of Directors, recruit and nominate Director and Officer slate for upcoming year and roles as needed - House
Partner with Boathouse Manager and Executive Director in prioritizing and overseeing projects/initiatives for ongoing improvement, including “house spirit”
- Safety
Partner with SRA Staff and Community to ensure safety policies are shared, documented and adhered to by all members. - Strategic Planning
Partner with Executive Director to ensure the Strategic Plan is understood within the SRA community, progress against goals is tracked and shared, and plan is updated on a 3-year cycle
