JUNIOR LEARN TO ROW
Students going into grades 8-12 can learn to row by joining SRA’s high school team. No prior experience is required!
ADULT LEARN TO ROW
Adult Learn to Row (LTR) is a six-week beginner program for adults (18+) of all ages and fitness levels with no prior rowing experience. Participants have the option to register for one of two six-week sessions in the summer.
After successful completion of the six-week program, rowers are eligible to join one of SRA's masters novice teams. Practice switches from two days a week in LTR to three days a week, on the opposite days. Early Morning and Mid-Morning switch from Tuesday/Thursday in LTR to Monday/Wednesday/Friday. Evening switches from Monday/Wednesday in LTR to Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday.
After one novice season, rowers can continue with the team and/or choose a Small-Boat Membership to row independently.
SRA offers Learn to Row only in summer due to weather and low-light conditions during the rest of the year. Please contact the Learn to Row director with any questions. We invite you to learn to row with SRA!

Prerequisites
Attendance policy
Attendance for the first week is mandatory. Other than the first week, rowers are allowed two absences. If it is necessary to miss more than two classes, rowers should work with their coach to schedule makeup classes in another time slot. As an example, a rower needs to make up two classes they missed in a particular week. In the following week(s), the rower will need to attend their own two regular classes plus two classes in a different time slot.
