Adult LEARN TO ROW

Learn to Row programs have been canceled for 2020.  To subscribe to SRA’s newsletter and receive updates, email registration@srarowing.com and include the word “subscribe” in the subject line.
Learn to Row (LTR) is a three-step beginner program for adults (18+) of all ages and fitness levels with no prior rowing experience.  Participants have the option to register for all three sessions at once or sign up for one session at a time but must pass each session before advancing to the next one. After successful completion of LTR 1, 2, and 3, rowers will have the option to join a masters team, try independent rowing, or both.

SRA offers Learn to Row only in summer, due to weather and low-light conditions during the rest of the year. Please contact the Learn to Row director with any questions.  We invite you to learn to row with SRA!

Learn to Row 1: Basic Skills
During this two-week session, you will train entirely on land to develop the skills, drills, tasks, and vocabulary needed to row safely.

Learn to Row 2: On the Water
This five-week session is all on the water!  You will row in boats of various sizes and learn both sculling (two-oar rowing) and sweep (single-oar rowing).

Learn to Row 3: Power Up
In this two-week session, you will develop more skill and build intensity as you get ready to join a masters team or become an independent rower.
