About the Campaign
On Saturday, November 12th from 11:00am - 2:30pm, we will be hosting our 2022 Ergathon. After a two year hiatus, we're excited for the return of this fun-filled event.
New this year, the event is boathouse-wide so our entire community can come together for this special event. Junior and masters rowers will row 1,000,000 meters to raise $35,000 for our first electric launch. Coaches will be sending out more information on teams and erg assignments. If you have additional questions, send us an email. As a community driven non-profit organization located on public land in the heart of Marymoor Park, our core value of Thoughtful Stewardship reaches beyond the walls of our boathouse into our neighborhoods and throughout our urban wetlands. We share resources with the local community and we’re committed to sustainable practices that protect the land and waterways around Lake Sammamish. Help us purchase our first zero emission outboard motor so we can do our part in protecting the natural waterways we love and depend on. Your involvement is critical to transitioning to an electric fleet. Sign up to fundraise and build a bright future for SRA. Invite your family and friends to support your efforts and make a difference directly in our community. Thank you! |
How to Get Involved
1) Fundraise
We need juniors and masters to help us hit out fundraising goal of $35,000! Creating a fundraising page is easy and you or your team could win some incredible prizes. The team with the highest percentage of members actively fundraising will win the naming rights to a 4+. The team that raises the most money will win naming rights to a 2X. Top individual fundraisers (one master, one junior boy, and one junior girl) will win a oar! To become a fundraiser, click the link below and then select "Become a Fundraiser". Join the team that applies to you and begin sharing your page with anyone and everyone to help us reach our goal!
2) Donate
Does our cause speak to you? We would love if you showed your support through a gift to our Ergathon campaign. The first $25,000 raised goes directly to purchasing one electric outboard and two batteries so our organization can begin our transition to a greener fleet on Lake Sammamish. An additional $5,000 raised will go towards scholarships and another $5,000 towards our future dock project for a grand total of $35,000 we hope to raise!
3) Volunteer
Are you looking for a way to lend a helping hand? We could definitely use your help! From setting up to cleaning up, serving snacks and decorating, we'd love you to get involved. Click the button below to let our Executive Director know you'd like to help out.
