2025 NORTHWEST MASTERS REGIONAL TEAM CHAMPIONS
Discover a passion for rowing | Explore personal potential | Celebrate team success
Sammamish Rowing Association’s masters programs are for adults of all ages, fitness levels, and experience levels. Whether you are an expert rower or have never touched an oar before, SRA has a program for you.
About SRA's Masters Programs
Beginner rowers go through SRA’s Learn to Row course to become proficient in a variety of boats. After completing Learn to Row, rowers join one of SRA’s masters teams, spending one to two years on the novice squad before moving to the experienced team. After a full season on a novice squad, rowers also have the option to row independently in club-owned small boats through a Small-Boat Membership. Adult rowers also have options for personal boat storage and private lessons.
All SRA masters teams welcome both recreational and competitive rowers. Competitive rowers represent SRA at local, regional, and national regattas. Masters teams practice three days a week, with coaches providing optional land-based workouts on the off-days for rowers who wish to build fitness, stamina, and a competitive edge. SRA's masters teams are distinguished primarily by their different practice times, but each team has its own personality and culture.
