Redmond, Wash. – Molly Lawrence has been named to the Sammamish coaching staff to assume a leadership role with the Junior Recreational program. Lawrence has been head coach at The Agnes Irwin School in Rosemont, Pa. since 2013, following a successful rowing career at Saint Joseph’s University and Vesper Boat Club. Lawrence will also be coaching with the SRA Junior Girls and various masters teams.
“Molly is a huge addition to our staff” said executive director Steven Freygang. “We are fortunate to have a coach with Molly’s background taking a leadership role with the Junior Rec program. She will add great stability and vision.” Lawrence brings to Sammamish years of demonstrated success working with junior athletes, leading her crews to multiple medals at the prestigious Scholastic Rowing Association of America National Championship Regatta. Lawrence holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Saint Joseph’s University where she was also the founder and president of the cycling team. In addition to coaching, Lawrence has worked as the Communications and Creative Design Manager for the Boys and Girls Club of Philadelphia.
